Lake Wine Stores undergoes major makeover

The Mission Xcellence creates a superior shopping experience at Lake Wine Stores

With the aim to upgrade and revamp Lake Wine Stores, the popular liquor outlet has been converted into a modern retail outlet. The in-store branding work has been executed by The Mission Xcellence that conceptualised the revamped look and feel of the store.

Pijush Chowdhury, Director, The Mission Xcellence, shares, "We have designed the new look of the retail store and have taken care of the brand visibility after  considering suggestions which came from the liquor corporate and the retail owner. The entire cost of the project is being sponsored by liquor corporate against their brand visibility for a particular product on mutually agreed terms and conditions for a given period of time and by both the brand and the owner of the particular retail shop. Adhering to the brief from our client on their brand visibility and the owner on their operation details, space utilisation, stock planning, Vaastu, cash handling plan, security etc., we have completed the entire job and given a modern look to the outlet.”

On execution challenges Chowdhury says, "As we did the entire turnkey project right from conceptualisation, designing and execution, we did face challenges related to cost. All these jobs were executed under local authority and mostly below the line with regional budgets. There were many restriction on timing in case of retailing. Thus the entire job had to be executed during functional hours. Implementing the new designs and accepting the visualisation concept in terms of look and changes over the old mind set or ideas of the retailers was also a challenge for us. We did away with MS Grill structures as safety cover, which acts as a major obstruction. The usage of attractive digital signage and display outside the store and use of the new gen LED lights has added a charm to the entire project.”

Mission Xcellence took one month to complete the project and make it functional, giving turnkey solution in terms of providing a better customer experience at the liquor shop.

"We have executed such projects before and it has definitely shown positive results on the higher brands' sale volume. With time liquor retailing system is changing in India and has to further move ahead with many major international brands coming in. It requires a better retail environment to attract the younger customers,” signs off Chowdhury.
