On display from 11 to 19 October 2026, the installation celebrates faith, Bengali heritage and traditional craftsmanship.

Navratri celebrations are as much about the stories and traditions behind the festival as they are about worship. Bringing one such tradition to Gurugram, Ambience Mall has unveiled a 14-foot installation of Goddess Durga inspired by Bengal’s famous Durga Puja art.

On display from 11 to 19 October 2026, the installation is a thoughtful confluence of spirituality, heritage and craftsmanship, offering visitors an opportunity to experience the artistry and cultural significance of the festive season.

Bengali artisans from families that have practised this art for generations have handcrafted the installation using clay and detailed shola woodwork.

At the centre, Goddess Durga is depicted with multiple arms, an ornate crown and elaborate detailing, which symbolises divine feminine power and the triumph of good over evil. The lion motif represents courage and strength, while the accompanying divine figures complete the composition. A predominantly ivory-white palette, complemented by an ornamental arch and golden lattice panels, highlights the intricate craftsmanship and delicate detailing.

Arjun Gehlot, Director, Ambience Group, said, “Our annual Navratri installation of Goddess Durga is a cherished tradition that brings together devotion, artistry and community. This year’s 14-foot installation, handcrafted by Bengali artisans using traditional clay and intricate shola wood detailing, is a tribute to India’s extraordinary artistic legacy and the generations of craftspeople who have preserved these skills. Through this initiative, we aim to offer visitors an immersive cultural experience that allows them to appreciate the beauty of traditional craftsmanship while connecting with the spirit and significance of Navratri.”
