Ballantine's installs chic signage for Punjab Club, Kolkata

The brief was to highlight the visibility of the brand Ballantine's Scotch Whisky keeping in mind the décor and prestige of the club.



Ballantine's, the popular liquor brand recently unveiled a chic signage for their Punjab Club outlet, located in the southern zone of Kolkata. The project has been executed by Excalibur, Kolkata for the brand.

Debmalya Mitra, the Proprietor of Excalibur said, "As an agency, the brief which we got from the company was to highlight the visibility of their brand Ballantine's Scotch Whisky, keeping in mind the décor and prestige of the club. The size of each signage is 6.5ft x 2ft made by 1mm 304grade SS Letter which is 1 inch raised, fitted with studs and with Waterproof  Samsung led Module, having light Blue colour which consumes 300 watt Hi Sign SMPS. The entire cost was sanctioned by Pernod Ricard as per the technical details of the signage and the total project took 10days to complete.”

The brand has used waterproofed LED lighting with two years warranty as a part of special lighting arrangement. On the execution challenges, Mitra adds, "We have done such liquor branding projects on several occasions before but Punjab Club being one of the most prestigious and very busy club of Kolkata situated at the heart of south Kolkata, our work schedule had to be adjusted in such a way so that the job was done within 5 p.m. everyday in order to avoid any inconvenience for the members of the club.”
