Swiss sportswear brand On recently celebrated the grand opening of its largest flagship store in China, spanning 802 square meters, located at Shenzhen MixC World. Inspired by Shenzhen’s “mountains-meet-the-sea” landscape and expressed through Swiss design aesthetics, the store integrates product innovation, immersive technology experiences, community engagement, and local sports culture—marking the long-term commitment of On in Shenzhen.
Swiss Design Aesthetics and Immersive Experiences
The new flagship at Shenzhen MixC World features an open, transparent, and fluid layout. A striking installation of black pine trees across the first and second floors complements warm wooden walls, expressing On's long-term commitment to the city.
The flagship store introduces Asia’s first innovative visual interaction installation, offering a presentation of CloudTec® technology and apparel collections.
At the store entrance, two century-old banyan trees form a natural urban landmark. On has redesigned and revitalized the surrounding park, creating a welcoming public space for runners’ activity and community gatherings.
Strengthening Retail Expansion in China
“On’s net sales in the Asia-Pacific region grew 96.4% year-over-year in 2025. China, now the second-largest market globally and one of the fastest-growing, has become a key focus for future development. We will maintain our DTC strategy to engage with consumers directly,” said Britt Olsen, Chief Commercial Officer at On. “Following footwear, apparel has emerged as the second major growth engine. In China, the category shows tremendous potential. We will continue to expand our retail footprint and further enhance the brand experience.”
Guided by a strategy of high-quality expansion, On has entered more than 30 cities across China and opened over 80 stores since entering the market in 2018, with a target of reaching 100 stores by 2026. “Shenzhen is a vibrant and youthful city, and we hope the flagship store at Shenzhen MixC World will serve not only as a retail space, but also as a hub connecting the city’s running community.” said Rebecca Cai, General Manager APAC at On.
Sixteen years after market launch, On delivers industry-disrupting innovation in premium footwear, apparel and accessories for high-performance running, outdoor, training, all-day activities and tennis. On is present in more than 80 countries globally.
