The Italian influenced brick house look of new ritzy Serafina with alfresco seating arrangements is chic, vibrant and cozy.
Rajiv Singh, The General Manager, Global Kitchens shares with R4G on the new concept and look, “Serafina, earlier here had the concept of a fine dining restaurant, but if you observe the brand across the world, it is having more of a casual approach. So the basic thing we wanted to change was to make it more accessible, more open and present it like a hangout zone for everyone including families as well as for millennials. The new design is more cool, more open, more inviting, hence it attracts people to a different level.”
Serafina has got an old world charm blended with the modern flavours, serving the guest a perfect joyful Italian cuisine experience.
As Italy has a very broad and diverse architectural style, which cannot be simply classified by period or region, Payal tried to create a highly diverse and eclectic architectural design with roman arches, brick columns and burnt brick flooring, simply focusing to showcase a bespoke design. The idea was to make the outlet look vibrant, yet warm. “We also created interesting alfresco seating and collated the ambience with the traditional Serafina hand painted walls and thus ‘Made it simple, but significant’” shares the designer.
Under Global Kitchens, Serafina is now present in Kolkata, but they are very soon looking at all the metro cities for further expansions. Soon they are going to Bangalore, and Chennai. Guwahati as well is also in the definite expansion plan of the brand.
