VM&RD Retail Design Awards 2018 : The Grid

The Grid is sprawling across 10,000 square feet area with double height volume. The caged images of beginning, on the walls of the reception and 38 ft tall Lego bar  are created to bring the ‘wow’ factor. Seating area is divided into different grids while the Beer Garden gives an indoor garden feel. On the mezzanine level there’s a fine dining cum conference room named “The Asylum”. The Cage is a favorite spot with its panoramic view of the entire place. Adjacent to it is The Smoking Room (one of the largest in the city) and is quite distinct with its military style chairs. The latest spot for private bash is Grid X, which boasts of separate DJ console and a private VJ, a private bar and the whole section is completely soundproof with triple glass units installed all around. The 2 toilet blocks are made inside actual shipping containers. The whole place has been divided and subdivided into 8’ by 8’ grids horizontally and vertically and de-marketed by construction scaffolding. The customized holographic 3D visual projections running behind the bar on a transparent glass is totally immersive and adds up to the ambience.
