Smart Walls at World of Titan stores set to grab customer attention

Designed by Titan and executed by Mumbai-based retail technology solutions provider, ThinkPoint, the idea of the brand was to highlight their new products and communications and grab the attention of the shoppers by using dynamic smart signages at their Mumbai stores.

Titan has recently installed smart walls or smart signages at their revamped stores at R City Mall and Viviana Mall in Mumbai. Designed by Titan and executed by Mumbai-based retail technology solutions provider, ThinkPoint, the idea of the brand was to highlight their new products and communications and grab the attention of the shoppers by using dynamic smart signages.

The smart signs or smart walls are signages with changeable front facia lit by a backdrop board of LED lights that are capable of being calibrated as per the visuals required by the brand requirement. It is a plug and play solution with auto calibration through USB. The smart walls are completely adaptive which makes it a multi-use equipment. There are no restraints when it comes to size. It can be scaled up or down as per the store requirements. Smart walls are the next step from digital signages.

Kanika Srivastava, Visual Merchandiser, Titan shares, “We have recently renovated our existing stores in R City Mall and Viviana Mall to enhance the brand experience by highlighting premium collections, thus meeting the requirements of every customer. Both stores have large spaces with good visibility to passers-by. We wanted to use this space to do something that is premium, attractive and dynamic, thus catching the attention of the customer. We were looking to do something more innovative than static backlit visual on the walls. That’s where the idea of integrating technology in the design came and I approached Thinkpoint. We have been doing static visuals for long time but this time we were looking for something different that turns the head of customers towards the World of Titan store.”

She further added, “Basically we wanted to integrate the products along with communication that talks about the feature of the watch through animation. Once the smart visual was installed, it increased the footfalls, thereby improving our sales as well. So grabbing the attention of the customer and talking about the new products in an innovative way was the basic idea behind installing the smart visuals at the stores.”

Talking about the smart walls, Ali Hussain Cochin, Director, ThinkPoint said, “Every campaign that happens in the retail industry lasts for 3 months. Earlier we used to have sequential light boxes for the campaigns. As the campaign and the artwork changes the lightbox becomes redundant. This smart wall or smart sign is a onetime investment for brands, which can be constructed and installed depending upon the area available and size required. Titan wanted something which is dynamic and catches the attention of the passerby. We suggested this product to them. We designed and executed the first smart wall in R city Mall, Mumbai and they loved it. Parallelly we executed an animated standee for one of their Bangalore stores. Later we did a smart wall for their World of Titan store in Viviana Mall which was directly mounted on a wall.”
