Study By Janak launches flagship store in Ludhiana

In the next financial year, the brand is aiming at expansion into the North.

Study By Janak, the stylized occasion wear brand, launched a 6,000 sq.ft flagship store in the heart of Ludhiana at Mall Road. When asked for the reason for focusing on Ludhiana, Manoj Mehra, Group CMD, Study By Janak, points out "Our aim was to provide the same class of service and products to the discerning clients of Ludhiana as we do in Delhi. Ludhiana as a market has equal potential like Delhi with its booming incomes and improved lifestyles.” Study By Janak has been in the Ludhiana market for the last four years in malls and MBO's. With the exclusive flagship store they are now looking to ramp up their offerings as well as services with the ever growing demand. The brand has also set up a satellite production unit in the store to support the volumes that are being expected from the robust demand from Ludhiana and satellite towns.
"Our clients are not restricted within a particular geographical area- they travel a lot thus it is important that we provide them with the same level of service of what they get in our Delhi store or any store across the world. Interestingly a lot of our clients are coming from the satellite towns as well, which we come to know with our constant data analysis,” adds Manoj.

For enhancing the customer's shopping experience the decor of the store conveys a luxurious ambiance with a lot of comfortable sitting arrangements where a family can be on their own for hours and pick their best ensemble without being intimidated by others .

Manoj further adds, "We have been in the business of occasion wear from over two decades and our core strength is customization. Our stores cater to a wide variety of audience, thus our merchandise has been designed keeping the geographical area in mind, if it is South extension in Delhi, for example, there would be more of stylish and toned down look and when it comes to Karolbagh or the Punjabi market, we offer the merchandise accordingly.  In Ludhiana, we were earlier in the malls but having been in the market for a few years now, we realized that the occasion wear shopping is more of high street where clients of course need to browse and make a selection; thus we had to be in the heart of the city- Mall Road, which is the core of occasion wear shopping.”

The brand already has five flagship stores in India, primarily in the NCR region in cities like - Delhi (South-ex, Karolbagh,) Gurgaon and Punjab (Ludhiana & Jalandhar). "Our plans for this year are focused on our current retail space - upgrading and adding on more sq. ft, but in the next financial year we are looking at expanding more into the North Indian market for getting a strong foothold there, before we go to other parts of the country,” signs off Manoj.
