Max Fashion plans to add 40 new stores and enter 10 new cities this fiscal.
In terms of store design and VM, the brand plans to follow a more up-market, young and tech-savvy approach to target the urban youth in metros. Max is also piloting the concept of in-store kiosks for customers at the store to order merchandise online. In a Tier 2, the brand will focus more on its mix and match sections that is very product oriented.
Max has also introduced units in the browsers with scanning facility that allows the shopper to use their mobiles to browse through the catalogue for fresh fashion. “We are looking at bringing the physical and online aspects of retail together, where they touch and feel products and also allowing them to go online from here for more choice, sizes, etc,” Vasant explained while speaking about the brand’s initiatives to move towards omni-channel presence.
Max has more than 150 stores across 60 cities in India and plans to have a network of 190 stores by FY 16-17.
