Nicobar, a lifestyle design studio from the creators of Good Earth, plans on opening 7-8 stores across India over the next 4 years.
The new Nicobar store makes it a little bit easier for their visitors with an in-store style studio. The idea is to make customers feel relaxed and enjoy their time at the store with staff assistance in putting together an entire look for them, with a mix of Nicobar styles and one’s own pieces they’re welcome to bring along.
And that is not all; parts of store have been designed to be multi functional spaces that can be transformed completely, from a mini theatre for film screenings and an art gallery to an auditorium for book readings and an entrepreneur’s hub. Inviting visitors to linger and not feel compelled to rush out, there is a book corner with a curated selection of titles from Roli Books for the bibliophiles and Fresh Pressery café next door for a nibble or drink to round off the visit.
Nicobar believes that the future of retail lies in a seamless merging of memorable physical experience with technology that makes shopping easier, less complicated and ultra-convenient. Shopping at the Bangalore store is made easier for always on the go customers with stopgap worktable with charging points, wireless hotspots and paperless billing. The store integrates the tactile offline ability of experiencing Nicobar range and design in person with a similar ease of shopping as experienced at the online Nico home.
