On1y Spices plans to strengthen its presence in metro markets through both GT and MTs along with planning to incorporate innovative digital elements in MT spaces.

On1y Spices, the brand of gourmet spices from Bangalore-based Jayanti Group, is planning to push harder to penetrate more in markets like Bangalore, Delhi and Mumbai along with cities like Punjab, Chennai and Kolkata. The brand will also have presence in cities like Pune and Goa. The spice brand has already introduced LED screens with its standees at Modern Trade outlets and they are also planning to launch tablet-based hanging signages in those outlets. The brand is also planning to penetrate in the markets of Dubai and UAE through Modern Trade channels.

Talking to Retail4growth, Naveen Kumar, Deputy General Manager – Marketing, explained, “ On1y is 3 years old and we are already present in 300-400 outlets in 50 odd cities in India. Our major market lies in the cities like Bangalore, Delhi and Mumbai. We are also fairly present in Punjab, Chennai and Kolkata. We are planning to penetrate further in these existing markets rather than trying out new ones. Though our route has been mainly MTs , we have also observed that number of MTs is less in north India than in southern part of the country. Hence, we will strengthen our presence also through General Trade outlets.”
