59th Garment Meet and B2B Expo brings together West Bengal’s apparel industry in Kolkata

At the event, over 1,000 national and international brands plans to exhibit across a vast 2 lakh square foot exhibition space.

The West Bengal garment industry comes alive with the 59th Garment Meet and B2B Expo being held over three days from 5th to 7th January, 2026, at Science City, Kolkata, spread over 2 lac sqft. area. This event, organised by the West Bengal Garment Manufacturers and Dealers Association (WBGMDA), which has been a pivotal part of the industry for 61 years, will feature more than 1000 national and international brands in the 59th Garment Buyers & Sellers Meet & B2B Expo, showcasing a wide selection of readymade garments for kids, men, and women.
State government officials, businessmen, and representatives from prominent corporate houses attended the event, showing strong support for the Association’s efforts to boost the state’s economy. The event was inaugurated by: Sri. Sujit Bose, Minister of State for Fire, Govt. of WB; Sri. Atin Ghosh, Deputy Mayor of Kolkata; Smt. Rehana Khatun, Councillor & Borough Co-ordinator; along with notable figures such as Sri. Hari Kishan Rathi, President of WBGMDA; Sri. Vijay Kariwala, Senior Vice President of WBGMDA; Sri. Pradeep Murarka, Vice President of WBGMDA; Sri. Devendra Baid, Hon. Secretary and Sri. Manish Agarwal, executive committee member of WBGMDA and many others.
