While the group has opened new stores in Mumbai, in Delhi it has converted Big Apple stores it acquired last year. In Mumbai, it has opened stores in upscale localities such as Bandra, Napeansea Road, Lokhandwala and Vashi, among others.
"We have opened the stores in high-traffic areas where people can pick and go. The stores are mostly located in college campuses, petrol pumps, corporate offices," Biyani said.
While KB's Fairprice stores are targetted at urban- and semi-urban middle class and stock economy and value products, KB's Conveniently Yours targets the affluent and stocks premium products.

Future Group has added new formats in the recent past through acquisitions. It has acquired Nilgiris in the south last year and Bharti Retail more recently. Bharti Retail runs Easyday supermarkets and hypermarkets.
