Call Buddy Couture debuts in Kolkata

Gayatri Birla Agrawal, an acclaimed designer and creator of Call Buddy launched lifestyle and décor brand'Call Buddy Couture' in Kolkata recently. The exquisite and premium lifestyle line of embellished saris and hand-clutches are the specialty of this brand. The unique design house will provide people of Kolkata tailored gift products.  

Speaking on the occasion, Agrawal said, "Call Buddy Couture is the transition of a girl into a woman. The brand is a means where I put forward my passion to connect with the people. The myriad of personal and corporate utility products principally made of wood, acrylic, cloth and cardboard are part of this creative brand. To add to the stylisation couture we have sarees, clutch bags, utility pouches and the likes.”

"At Call Buddy Couture every saree is woven and designed exclusively. To add to the creativity and exclusivity of the brand no replicates or a piece akin to the existing is designed. Clients are presented with an array of fresh designs every month,” she added. Agrawal will soon be launching her lifestyle concept store in one of the high-end locales of South Kolkata.

The designer further stated that the brand "establishes a new category of light-heavy sarees which mean that they can be used as a day wear and then transformed to night wear simply by accessorizing it.” Clutch bags are again a blend of the west and east with a specialty range of hand embroideries while the others are an amalgamation of varied fabrics.

The principal company Call Buddy was formed in March 2013. It specialises in having an extensive range of customised products in wood and acrylic perfect for personal, household, gifting and corporate uses. Call Buddy Couture is Agrawal's foray into the world of fashion and her first step to expand the brand Call Buddy.
