KAI to reach 50,000 GT outlets across India, starts with 4 states

The Japanese brand plans to retail through large number of GT network and the leading MT outlets in India.

KAI, the 109 years old Japanese brand manufacturing 10,000 kitchen and beauty accessories, bets big on General Trade route in India by being present through 50,000 retail outlets. The brand has recently opened its 250 sq ft exclusive brand outlet at Delhi’s Select Citywalk Mall and is present in a considerable number of GT outlets in NCR, Punjab, Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh. The brand also has recently started a manufacturing unit in Neemrana spread across 3 lakh sq ft space, out of which 77000 sq ft is currently operational.

Talking to Retail4growth, Rajesh Pandya, Managing Director, KAI manufacturing India Pvt Ltd, shared, “Since we are manufacturing at Neemrana, which is in the border of Gurgaon and Rajasthan, we have chosen neighbouring 4 states as our pilot markets. We are currently present at GT. Going forward, we plan to be present through 50,000 GT outlets and 100 distribution centers across country along with the leading Modern Trade chains. Excluive brand outlets will act as our bridge to understand consumer preferences and behavious. “We plan to open 4 to 5 outlets by 2022.”
