The VCCircle Awards, was instituted in 2012 to recognize the most outstanding Indian companies funded by private equity and venture capital firms in 10 categories such as consumer products/services, consumer internet, healthcare services, information technology, financial services, media & communications, infrastructure, manufacturing & education and cleantech, besides law firms and investment banks.
And Designs India Ltd is the brainchild of celebrated designer Ms Anita Dongre, Ms Meena Sehra ( Director) and Mr Mukesh Sawlani ( Director) which was established in the year 1995 and has 530 stores across all brands, including company run exclusive brand stores and shop in shops, and a Global Desi store in Mauritius.
The VCCircle Award jury was chaired by Mr. VK Bansal, Chairman, Investment Banking of Morgan Stanley India. The other jury members include Raamdeo Agarwal - Joint MD, Motilal Oswal Financial Services Ltd, Rajiv Luthra - Managing Partner, Luthra & Luthra Law Offices, Sri Rajan - Senior Partner, Bain & Co India, Sanjiv Bikhchandani - Founder & Vice-Chairman, Info Edge India Ltd.
