The project reflects a new approach to retail development beyond city centres, tapping into demand for organised retail and attracting shoppers from nearby major cities while generating employment

Bhumi World has announced the upcoming launch of The Outlet Mall of India, a ~₹200 crore project set to redefine the retail landscape of the Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR). Strategically located at Bhiwandi, this destination will be one of India’s largest outlet malls. The project is slated for a grand launch around mid-March.

The project marks a pivotal shift in how retail hubs are envisioned outside traditional city centres, capitalising on the growing demand for organised, value-driven retail experiences on the periphery of major metros. By creating a new retail-economic corridor, the project is expected to drive substantial employment and attract shoppers from Mumbai, Thane, Pune, and Nashik.

"The Outlet Mall of India is not just a retail project; it is a vision to transform Bhiwandi into a premier lifestyle destination,” said Prakash Patel, Chairman & Managing Director of Bhumi World. “We are bringing a global standard of 'retailtainment' to India, inspired by international benchmarks like Bicester Village and Woodbury Common. By offering 365 days of discounts, we are addressing the aspirational needs of the new-age consumer while ensuring that our infrastructure serves as a robust engine for local economic growth and employment generation.”
