The Clothing Manufacturers Association of India (CMAI) hosted its 69th National Garment Fair at the Bombay exhibition center, NSE Complex, Goregaon, Mumbai. The 4-day event was inaugurated by Chief Guest of the Fair and President of CMAI Rahul Mehta.

The B2B fair hosted over 1,000 exhibitors representing close to 1,100 brands. Rahul Mehta and various CMAI members spoke to a few exhibitors, delving into their displays and the overall ethos of their respective labels sprawled across approximately 7,00,000 sqft.

"We have had the highest number of brands participating this year around 1160 brands. Around 40,000-42,000 visitors have visited this fair.” Rahul Mehta, President of CMAI tells Retail4Growth.

The fair displayed leading brands in men’s wear, women’s wear, kid’s wear and accessories. It also included business networking sessions between the exhibitors, agents, and distributors. CMAI also published the ‘Show Directory’, popularly known as the Fair Guide at the event.

“The kid's segment appeared to have done the best. The booking in the fair was surprisingly good considering the market conditions. We were expecting a bit of a slowdown in the order booking but that does not seem to have happened. Most of the participants were extremely satisfied,” Mehta shares.
