The company plans to take the Pune facility to 180,000 sq. ft., while the Ambernath facility will span 350,000 sq. ft. As part of its long-term growth strategy, Safe Enterprises Retail Fixtures is targeting revenue of over Rs 400 crore by 2028.

Safe Enterprises Retail Fixtures Ltd. is expanding its manufacturing footprint to over 530,000 sq. ft. across its Ambernath and Pune facilities, with its 350,000 sq. ft. integrated manufacturing plant in Ambernath scheduled for commissioning in December 2026 as part of the company’s ongoing capacity expansion to support increasing demand from India’s organized retail sector.

The upcoming facility, with a total plant area of approximately 350,000 sq. ft. and a factory area of over 250,000 sq. ft., is expected to increase manufacturing capacity and consolidate multiple manufacturing operations in Navi Mumbai into a single integrated setup.

"Currently, we are working out of five plants. All five plants will be consolidated first into one plant. That in itself brings in some obvious efficiencies in terms of space and process utilization,” explains Huzefa Merchant, Founder of INSYNC Shop Fittings.

Speaking about the capacity expansion, he adds, “Overall, our manufacturing capacity will increase by around two and a half times. We have two facilities coming up – one is the Ambernath facility in Mumbai, and the other is our Pune facility, which is being expanded by another 65,000 sq. ft. This will take the Pune facility to 180,000 sq. ft., while the Ambernath facility will span 350,000 sq. ft.”

The company expects the integrated facility to improve workflow across production, finishing, assembly, and dispatch while supporting higher throughput and operational efficiency. “We have made it such that we are able to do multiple dispatches. Six trucks can be loaded simultaneously at one go, including container loading trucks. We can have six client deliveries on the same day,” Huzefa mentions.

Safe Enterprises Retail Fixtures Limited, listed on the NSE SME Exchange (NSE: SAFEENTP), operates in the retail infrastructure segment and is engaged in the design, manufacturing, supply, and installation of retail fixtures and shopfitting solutions for national and international retail brands across sectors, including fashion, apparel, footwear, electronics, beauty, lifestyle, etc.

With over three decades of industry experience, the company operates through a vertically integrated model covering design, engineering, manufacturing, and installation, enabling execution of multi-location retail rollout projects across India. Its shopfitting systems are built on a modular architecture using standardized components that can be configured into multiple store layouts using the same underlying system. This allows retailers to adapt store formats while maintaining consistency in design and execution.

The Ambernath facility will also incorporate upgraded manufacturing technology and machinery. “We will be upgrading all our technology and all the machines. We are not moving too many things from the old factory, so there will be a lot of technological upgrades,” Huzefa says. The facility will further house a state-of-the-art experience centre, which will complement the company's existing experience centre in Pune.

Apart from new store installations, the company derives business from store refurbishments, fixture upgrades, and layout reconfigurations, which form part of the regular store refresh cycle followed by organized retailers.

The expansion is expected to align with continued growth in India’s organized retail sector, as retailers across metro and non-metro markets increasingly focus on scalable and standardized store infrastructure to support faster rollouts and a consistent customer experience.

Looking ahead, the company has outlined ambitious growth plans. “By 2028, we are aiming to cross ₹400 crore. This facility is not just for the next two or three years. We will continue upgrading it over time, with space available for future growth,” Huzefa mentions.

The company is also strengthening India's manufacturing ecosystem through its continued focus on the 'Make in India' initiative. It exports components to the Middle East and also works with shopfitters across different geographies, expanding its presence in international markets.

With the Ambernath facility progressing as planned, the company continues to expand its capacity to support future execution requirements and the growing demand for organized retail infrastructure in India.
