The quick service restaurant chain will open 15 more outlets in the city by the end of current fiscal.
Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) chain Master Dimsum has recently opened their first outlet in Kolkata at Southern Avenue and has disclosed their plan to open about 15 Master Dimsum stores in the city by March, 2019 across 3 formats - exclusive store, kiosks and shop-in-shops. The company seems to have already captured the city’s palate with a chain of restaurants such as Oudh 1590 and Chapter 2.
The décor of the outlet is simple yet bright and youthful and has an international QSR flavour. Bright red colours enhance the happy vibe and whet the appetite, as per the belief in Chinese culture and this is reflected in the store.
Shiladitya Chaudhuri and Debaditya Chaudhuri, Partners, Master Dimsum, said, “Dimsums have been an aspiration for Kolkatans so far, as they were available only at five star and premium standalone fine dining restaurants. We wanted to democratise this and make them available for the middle class at an affordable price range. We will be opening five more outlets by October this year before the festive season and aim to open 20 more outlets by end 2019.”
