M&S introduces ‘Pay with Me’ to relieve queues in-stores

Currently present in more than 200 M&S stores, the new digital payment solution assists the company’s staffs to select consumers from the queue to bill a few items and instantly process their transaction through a handheld Honeywell device.

The British multinational retailer, M&S has introduced a new on-the-spot digital payment method ‘Pay with Me’ to alleviate queues in the checkouts. Currently present in more than 200 M&S stores, the new solution assists the company’s staffs to select consumers from the queue to bill a few items and instantly process their transaction through a handheld Honeywell device.

Helen Milford, Store Director, M&S, mentioned, “In preparation for Christmas, we have put in place extensive measures to make shopping quicker, easier and safer for everyone – from our longest ever opening hours through to digital queue busting solutions such as our new ‘Pay with me’ in more than 200 stores now. In these final few days we’re focused on delivering for our customers to help them make the most of their Christmas, however they might be celebrating.”

The service is successfully utilized seven M&S outlets and facilitates easier shopping experiencefor consumers. According to the company, with the present social distancing norms, the ‘Pay with Me’ solution will be a great option to free up unnecessary crowd within stores.
