New Balance’s new Mumbai store bridges sports & culture

New Balance, the sports brands, has unveiled its newest retail concept at Linking Road, Mumbai which is all about engaging sports lovers and creating a community around them. 

Sports brand New Balance has unveiled its newest retail concept at Linking Road, Mumbai. The store design aims to seamlessly blend cutting-edge technology with a visually striking aesthetic, while providing an immersive and engaging shopping experience to customers.

Essentially, the store’s design and layout is the result of the brand’s focus on offering a distinct customer experience and this is reflected in aspects like central seating, which encourages community-building, and allows customers to connect with each other as they explore the brand's offerings. “The structural arrangement stimulates a sense of exploration, inviting customers to discover the latest in fashion and performance footwear,” informs the company.

The brand also seeks to enable customer interaction and encourage customers to explore the brand's collection through the strategic use of front-end technologies. Digital screens placed throughout the space provide interactive product information and enhance the shopping experience.

Essentially the New Balance store showcases the brand’s belief in the intersection of sports and culture. As Radeshwer Davar, Country Manager, New Balance India, said while talking about the new store, "We are delighted to open our first ever store in Mumbai; at Linking Road. At New Balance, we see ourselves at the intersection of Sports and Culture, and Mumbai as a city, truly embodies this belief, making it a great fit for our expansion journey in India. The launch of the Linking Road store is part of the brand’s strategic expansion plans for the Indian market, under the newly launched India subsidiary, and of broadening its global presence. 

Pat Cummins, Australian Cricketer and New Balance Ambassador, who has been a part of the New Balance family since the start of his athletic career, and was important part of brand’s launch of the first store in Mumbai, said, "I'm thrilled to be part of the launch celebrations of New Balance's Mumbai store.
