Panasonic’s new ESL & eSignCard solutions set to elevate customer experience in F&B & hospitality sectors

Panasonic says its new suite of solutions, under the System Solutions Division, aims to redefine how hotels, restaurants, and cafés manage their daily workflows and guest interactions and help the hospitality sector create seamless, digital-first experiences with reduced environmental footprint.  

The System Solutions Division (SSD) of Panasonic Life Solutions India (PLSIND) has announced the launch of solutions for the Indian hospitality industry prioritizing what it calls “contactless services, data analytics, and sustainable digital solutions to enhance efficiency and guest experiences”.

“Panasonic’s SSD business offers a suite of innovative solutions including Electronic Smart Labels (ESL) and eSignCard that are reshaping how hotels, restaurants, and cafés manage their daily workflows and guest interactions, while helping hospitality sector create seamless, digital-first experiences with reduced environmental footprint,” says the company statement.

Empowering hotels and restaurants of the future, the solutions highlight Panasonic ESL’s utility—a digital, eco-friendly alternative to buffet cards. The ESL solution is designed for restaurants, hotels, and banqueting spaces, this tech-forward solution ensures a neat, consistent food display with real-time, centrally updated digital displays, enhancing the dining experience while saving time and effort the F&B team, shares the company. Panasonic eSignCard replaces traditional tent cards to communicate real-time updates such as dynamic menus, promotions, QR codes for ordering, reservations, event related information to name a few.

Using the centralized dashboard through CMS (Content management system) hotels and restaurants, irrespective of their size, can update their information wirelessly in real-time, accessible through smartphones.

Electronic Shelf Labels (ESL): Panasonic’s ESLs modernise buffet presentations in restaurants, hotels, and banqueting venues, replacing paper labels with eco-friendly, digital displays. These smart tags deliver clear, customizable food information, ensuring hygiene and professionalism. Centrally managed via Panasonic’s Content Management System, ESLs enable real-time updates for menus, allergen details, or branding, saving time and effort. Key features include wireless connectivity, long battery life (up to 4-5 years), multiple sizes, and consistent branding, offering a cost-efficient, sustainable solution for dynamic dining setups.

eSignCard: The Panasonic eSignCard transforms guest communication in hospitality with sleek, wireless tabletop displays. “Ideal for restaurants, cafés, and hotels, these ePaper displays showcase dynamic menus, personalised promotions, QR codes for ordering, or guest messages,” says the company. Managed through a Content Management System (accessible via mobile or laptop), eSignCard support real-time updates, centralized or decentralized control, and wireless operation (BLE 5.2). Available in 4.2", 7.5", and 11.6" single or double-sided variants, with up to 2 years of battery life, they deliver a premium, sustainable guest experience.

Digital SignEdge Content Management System (CMS): Panasonic SignEdge solution is an in-house cloud-based CMS, designed to simplify and automate content updates from lobby screens to in-room displays and restaurant signage across digital displays within a hotel environment. Whether in a single store or across a network of branches, SignEdge enables centralised control of messaging, promotions, and real-time updates, reducing manpower dependency and error margins, according to the company.
