Pepperfry bets on virtual reality

Pepperfry, India's leading furniture marketplace headquartered in Mumbai launched its unconventional approach of virtual reality studio tour in its stores across Mumbai!

Speaking about this new feature addition, Pepperfry's Product Head, Deepak Sharma said, "Our Studios have been conceived as experience centers where we offer design inspirations to our customers. By providing an immersive panoramic view of these Studios virtually, we want customers to explore multiple home design options from anywhere, at any point in time.†Their vision extends to 2020 to help around 20 million customers beautify their living spaces. Their recent approach is to set up 20 studios in metro cities of India and make available 3D tours to all of it by 2016 end.
Customer's virtual navigation is all at their fingertips, by simply typing "Studio Pepperfry†on Google along with its location in the city. An option "See Inside†would appear on the right hand side of the page, wherein by clicking on it, the look of the studio inside and all the décor would be accessible! By using the tiny compass on the upper right corner on Google Maps, the location of the studio center can be opened and navigated around by movement of the device. VR (Virtual Reality) headset linked to Google Cardboard range / HTC Vive/ Oculus are available to customers at Pepperfry Studios in VR. Just like real time shopping, customers can add what they liked in the wish list or shopping cart for the purchase.
