Tanishq relaunches its store in Bowbazaar, Kolkata

With a focus on expanding their large format-retailing concept, Tanishq, re-launched their Bowbazaar showroom in Kolkata. The store is spread across 2800 sq.ft. carpet area and boasts of an array of opulent wedding jewellery in gold, kundan, polki and diamonds to contemporary jewelry. The showroom offers its every customer, the divine craftsmanship in over 5000 exquisite designs.
 
Speaking on the new look of the store, Rajeshwari Srinivasan, AVP & Regional Business Head, East, Titan Company Limited, said,  "Modern jewellery retailing is all about providing customers with shopping experience with a world-class retail ambiance and personal interaction apart from high quality products. Srinivasan further added, "This store is located at the hub of jewellery in Kolkata i.e. Bowbazaar and we need to compete with a whole lot of brands as well as mom & pop shops. So, here the segments have been well categorized into three floors, where ground floor houses the normal gold, kundan etc., first floor has diamonds and platinum and the second floor is typically for wedding collection, specially crafted keeping in mind the Bengali sensibilities and craftsmanship. Further we have plans to relaunch eight Tanishq stores in a new avatar.”
 
On the East zone expansion of the brand Srinivasan adds, "We are launching stores in Jamshedpur and Bhubaneshwar this week and following that we have our grand launch in Guwahati, in total seven more to be launched within this FY. Also for Mia within this FY, we want to have five stores, soon more outlets will come up in Kolkata and we will also open in Patna, Guwahati, Jamshedpur. Also we will add more Titan store as well in this FY.”
