A revamped designer boutique of antique furniture gets a news life having a great collection suited to every pocket.
Terra Indica recently opened up their first showroom with a new decor at 21/1 Gora Chand Road, near Don Bosco School, Park Circus at Kolkata. Creating integrated yet space-saving modern and antique pieces of customised furniture by using Indian teak is the uniqueness of their collection which will appeal every taste.
Christophe Plais, one of the owner of Terra Indica who has partnered with Debashis Halder for this business, shares, "We are exporting these kind of furniture to different places since five years from now and the demand of our clients have prompted us to launch this showroom.
At present our focus is on the Kolkata market only which has got a huge potential but gradually we will expand in the other cities of India as wellâ€. Having spread over an area of approximately 1500 sq ft, the interior decor of the showroom evokes an old world charm as soon as one steps inside.
The heavy wooden intricately designed beds, light & dark toned recliners, elaborately crafted mirrors to collection of antique brass sculptures, statues of Lord Buddha and other such collected assortments adds up a new dimension to the store interiors. As a part of their social responsibility Terra Indica has also employed many former street children at their workshops in order to rehabilitate them.
