UClean expands retail presence, marks 100 city milestone

By Retail4Growth Bureau | April 04, 2023

Nohar, a small municipality in Rajasthan, is the 100th city where the laundry and cleaning service brand has opened its store.

UClean, the leading laundry and cleaning service chain, has announced its rapid expansion in the country, and is now operating in 100 cities. According to the company statement, the expansion is a significant milestone for the industry, showcasing the widespread acceptance of the brand across India. UClean's presence now spans from Vagamon (Kerala) in the South to Kargil (Ladakh) in the North and from Panjim (Goa) in the west to Ziro (Arunachal Pradesh) in the Northeast.

“UClean is now extensively available in the small towns of Bharat, including markets like Nirjuli, Shillong, Raipur, Vidisha, Alwar, Patiala, Kurnool, Siwan, Shimla, Jagdalpur, Bokaro, and many more. UClean’s growth has been fueled by the power of micro-entrepreneurship where the brand partners with franchises in the small towns and villages and enables them to run their own UClean outlet. For a brand that has seemed tremendous acceptance in small town Bharat, it is only fitting that the 100th city on UClean map is Nohar – a small municipality in Rajasthan which is unknown to most people,” says the company statement.

Commenting on the expansion, Founder and CEO of UClean, Arunabh Sinha, said, “We are thrilled to announce that UClean is now present in 100 cities across India. Our rapid expansion has been made possible through the learnings and insights gained from our extensive presence in various markets. Our aim is to build superior laundry and cleaning experiences for our customers in India's 100 cities and make UClean a 500-city brand by 2027."

Sinha added, "I personally come from a very small town in Jharkhand (erstwhile, Bihar). We are excited about the opportunities that these small towns of Bharat offer and look forward to serving our customers in these rural areas with our state-of-the-art laundromats and professional cleaning services. These markets are already contributing to a significant portion of our national business, and we are confident that they will fuel a majority share of business in the near future. We are looking to double our current number of partners and onboard more than 1500 laundromat stores by January 2025.”
