UNIQLO announces 2 new stores to mark 5th year in India

To mark its milestone of having completed five years in India, global Japanese apparel retailer UNIQLO has announced the opening of two new stores in November, one at Phoenix Palladium, Mumbai; and the other at Pacific Mall Tagore Garden, New Delhi.  

“Our five-year journey has been incredible and full of learnings” said, Kenji Inoue, Chief Financial Officer & Chief Operating Officer, UNIQLO India. “We are pleased to see that Indian customers have shown a deep appreciation for our LifeWear - high quality, functional clothing that is designed to make everyday life better. We remain committed to India and are excited to continue serving our customers. At this milestone, we are also looking forward, with the announcement of the further expansion of our store network in Mumbai and New Delhi.”  

The brand currently operates 13 brick and mortar stores across India, and its largest UNIQLO store via UNIQLO.com. UNIQLO Phoenix Palladium will be the brand’s first-ever store in South Mumbai, and third store overall in Mumbai. It will feature a total sales floor space of 18,380 square feet, spread across two floors. UNIQLO Pacific Mall Tagore Garden store,located in Western Delhi, will feature a total sales floor space of 12,930 square feet and spread across two floors. It will be the ninth store of the brand in Delhi NCR.
