Wagh Bakri opens its second Tea Lounge in the Capital

Wagh Bakri Tea Group announced the launch of its second Tea Lounge at Lajpat Nagar in New Delhi. After its successful operations in New Delhi (Pitampura),Mumbai and Ahmedabad, the company launched its fifth tea lounge, which is also the second in New Delhi with an aim to provide a full-fun and relaxed tea experience. Newly opened lounge has 45 different varieties of teas to choose from, including some of the very exotic options.

The tea connoisseurs can also buy all Wagh Bakri products from the tea lounge. Moreover, the group is also offering rare varieties of tea from different countries for consumers to purchase. Sharing his views on this occasion, Executive Director and fourth generation entrepreneur of Wagh Bakri Tea Group, Parag Desai said, "Those who visited our tea lounges in Delhi and Mumbai were overwhelmed about the concept and requested to open such tea lounges in Delhi's popular areas. So we started with Pitampura, now Lajpat Nagar and we shall open one more tea lounge in GK- 1 by end of January 2015.” Adding to this, he stated, "Delhiites are known for their love for food and that is why we want them to try and taste these unique teas at our lounge. Apart from tea, there will be recipes which will have tea as one of the ingredients.”
 
The lounge was inaugurated by Padmabhushan Dr M B Athreya (PhD-Harvard), a renowned management Guru and Smt. Geeta Athreya, a well-known International Development Consultant.

With the current turnover of INR 950 crore, Wagh Bakri Tea Group started its operations about 120 years ago. Currently the 4th generation master tasters are spearheading its operations.
