Wat-a-Burger plans to open 40 new outlets in FY21-22

The company aims to open majority of the outlets in Bihar, Telangana, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu and Karnataka.

The burger chain, Wat-a-Burger is looking to introduce 40 outlets by the end of the FY21-22 to expand its footprint across the country. As a part of the upcoming financial year, the company targets to speed up its expansion in Maharashtra and Karnataka. However, majority of the outlets will be aimed for Bihar, Telangana, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu and Karnataka.

Farman Beig, Co-Founder & Chief Executive Officer, Wat-a-Burger, stated, “The pandemic has hit the restaurant industry. Amidst this the states that had the maximum number of restaurants and cafes also saw most of them shutting down, Karnataka and Maharashtra being two of them. Hence, post-pandemic we see a huge scope in these states.”

The company presently has 60 outlets in 16 cities across 9 states in India. It also has a presence in all important locations including Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Gurgaon, Noida, Ghaziabad, Vadodara, Surat, Guwahati, Lucknow, Chandigarh, Gorakhpur and many more. Through its franchisee model, the company also aims to crate entrepreneurs in tier 2 and 3 cities.
