Aero Club unveils premium women footwear range; to open 5 stores every year

Woods opens its first store in Delhi and plans to add 5 stores every year.

Aero Club, the company that owns leading footwear brands Woodland, has recently forayed into premium women footwear range, Woods by opening its revamped store at Delhi’s DLF Promenade Mall. Breaking the usual rough-and-tough store design of Woodland, the Woods store wears the look of a lounge that allows easy browsing for women. Out of 40 new stores to be added every year, there would be 5 exclusive Woods store. 

Commenting on the launch and the brand positioning, Harkirat Singh, MD, Aero Club, told Retail4growth, “Woodland is a more male-centric brand which sells 70% of its merchandises to men. Over years we have realized that the women accessories market is gaining momentum with more and more international and luxury brands entering Indian market. It made business sense for us to not only bring new product category but also to build a strong store network exclusively for Woods. We are planning to add 5 stores every year in major metros in the country.”
