Nodes of Destiny: Designed for life’s precious milestones
By Himanshi Jain | March 03, 2026
Tucked away in the busy market stretch of Lajpat Nagar, Nodes of Destiny’s first store marks an important new chapter for the young lab-grown diamond brand. Designed by PAV Design Lab, the space translates the brand’s idea of celebrating life’s small milestones.

Breaking into Delhi’s highly competitive jewellery market is no small feat, especially in a neighbourhood like Lajpat Nagar, where legacy retailers and new-age brands coexist in close proximity. Yet, Nodes of Destiny chose this very landscape to open its first-ever physical store. The store’s facade draws attention from the bustling streetscape, while the interior shifts into a calmer, more intimate environment. The idea was not to overwhelm with opulence, but to create what the designers describe as a sense of conscious luxury – contemporary and understated.
Founded by Rachita Rakyan, the brand celebrates life’s small yet meaningful milestones through thoughtfully designed lab-grown diamonds. To translate that philosophy into space, Nodes of Destiny partnered with Adit Gupta, Co-Founder and Principal Architect of PAV Design Lab. What has emerged is not just a retail outlet but a spatial narrative – bold at the entrance, calm within and carefully layered with symbolism.

A store that signals its presence
The facade of Nodes of Destiny is made using a textured red surface, which aligns well with the brand’s identity. “Red is their brand colour, and it’s eye-catching. We used it at the entrance so people can see it from a distance,” shares Adit. The textured paint achieves a stone-like finish, giving depth and tactile richness to what might otherwise have been a flat surface.
But what’s more interesting is the restraint. “You need to know where to stop,” Adit explains. “If you overdo the red, it becomes overwhelming. So it’s about how you balance.”

Translating a brand story into space
Rachita had a strong story and a brand language for Nodes of Destiny. “Nodes means those little and many milestones that are markers of important moments in one’s life, which we wanted to celebrate and adorn with diamonds,” she says.
The concept of “nodes” is interpreted spatially through red spherical elements – symbolic markers that move from a 2D brand language into 3D installations. According to Adit, the design process was organic. “It was one of those rare projects where even the layout felt right in the first meeting. We had clarity on what needed to be done.”
The spatial planning
Inside the store, the ground level houses the main retail area, where round rustic red elements highlight key zones and subtly guide circulation. Service areas like the cash counter and safe are aligned with Vastu principles to ensure operational balance.
Moving up, the first-floor functions as an experiential zone. It features a conference-cum-lounge space for high-engagement jewellery viewing. A double-height red display element visually connects the volumes, while founder cabins are integrated seamlessly into the design language. The second floor is dedicated to administrative functions, with a straightforward and highly functional workspace approach.

A test model
As the brand’s first physical outlet, the store also functions as a learning lab.
“Yes,” Rachita confirms when asked whether it’s being treated as a test model. “We have put a lot of thought behind everything here, but as per customer behaviour, liking and feedback, we will make relevant changes if needed.”
The response so far has been encouraging. “We have got very positive and overwhelming responses, both for our product design and the interiors,” she shares.
For a new brand entering an established jewellery ecosystem, that validation matters.

The bigger picture
Launching a jewellery brand in a competitive neighbourhood like Lajpat Nagar comes with responsibility. With its textured red facade, symbolic installations, Gen Z–friendly layout, and lighting strategy, Nodes of Destiny has made a confident first move.
