Hansini Jewels plans to go overseas

Hansini is planning to expand their stores to other parts of UP, Delhi, Mumbai and enter international markets such as Milan, where the logistics are already finalised.

Hansini Jewels as a brand started its traditional wholesale business in 2004 and ventured into retail in September 2015. With flagship stores in Lucknow and Mumbai, the brand’s CEO Prateek Kumar and Gaurav Agarwal are now expanding its footprint through company showrooms and franchise network. Apart from physical stores, they also have an e-commerce business known as www.hansini.com. The company’s in-house designer team works exclusively on retail and e-commerce business. Hansini is also nominated in the top ten stores innovative jewellery brands of India.

Hansini is planning to expand their stores to other parts of UP, Delhi, Mumbai and enter international markets such as Milan, where the logistics are already finalised. According to the company spokesperson, once Hansini establishes around ten stores in India they would open a store in Milan.

“We cater from the masses to classes. The price range starts from a nose ring costing 3000 INR/- to a solitaire costing 4 crore. Our entire range is certified by international organisations like IGI, GIA and GSI,” Prateek Kumar says.

The jewellery collection starts from traditional contemporary gold to antique and wedding jewellery. The USP of the brand is their innovative designs and the high quality diamond. “Hansini doesn’t categorise class and every person who walks in is a potential client,” Prateek said.

In terms of store design and space, the Hansini showroom at Mahanagar, Lucknow is around 3000 sqft, while the outlet in Mumbai at Boriwali West is 1200 sqft. Prateek and Gaurav Agarwal roped in international architects for designing their entire showroom, where everything is imported and modular from Italy & China. Nothing in the showroom apart from furniture is from India. Talking about VM, Prateek says, “With apparels it’s easy to change the display every fortnight but with jewellery it becomes little challenging. But still our design team tries to change the backgrounds every fifteen days with a different look and feel. The window display also has a 3D holographic display that is one of its kind in India.”
