Havmor Ice Cream opens outlet at Mira Road, Mumbai

Havmor Ice Cream Company Pvt. Ltd, manufacturer and supplier of ice cream, opened its first outlet in Mira Road, one of the suburbs in north Mumbai. This newly launched 210 sq ft ice cream parlour is the first exclusive franchise by brand Havmor.

"We are the sole franchisee for Havmor in Mira Road and the brand has been quite supportive right from the beginning. We were given the proper guidelines from the operations team at brand Havmor in terms of lighting, branding and other aspects. We wish to have a good season ahead,” said Sagar Bhambri, Owner of the Parlour.

In April 2013, Ahmedabad-based ice cream maker Havmor tied up with homegrown pharmaceutical major Zydus Wellness, a group company of Cadila Healthcare (Zydus Cadila), for sourcing ingredients for their 'Sugar Free' range of ice creams. This tie-up allows Havmor to use the 'Sugar Free' brand owned by Zydus for its ice creams.

Founded in the year 1944, Havmor has more than 100 outlets across the country with its head office in Gujarat. The ice cream brand commands over 35 per cent of the market share and has a dealership network across the states of Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Maharashtra and Rajasthan. The brand is now set to enter Punjab and Goa with plans to hit South India next year.
