By VJ Media Works Team | Vjmedia Works | February 02, 2013

Starting from the entrance to the interior of this unique dinning place, everything has been inspired from the rustic Punjab eateries.

Metro shoe has collaborated with Origami artist Himanshu Agrawal to sculpt a giant shoe called'Shoe in a Metro' which will be on display at the traffic island section of the Kala Ghoda Art Festival 2013 from February 2-10. The shoe depicts the need of one of the most basic and integral rights of a human, the right to footwear. Standing 8-ft tall and 3-ft wide, the paper sculpture was created in four days.

"I have tried to draw attention to the millions of homeless people who lack basic footwear,” says Himanshu Agrawal, whose work finds mention in the Limca Book of Records. "Being the largest footwear retailing company in India, we have tried to utilise our presence to amplify the awareness towards this cause.'Shoe in a Metro' depicts the chaos, need for change and vibrancy required to create the right wave for a growing country. This is our first step towards making a change and we hope it is a giant one” says Farah Malik Bhanji, Executive Director, Metro Shoes Ltd.
