Rural Conclave 2016 collates new ideas for rural marketing

Rural Conclave 2016 organized by Rural Marketing Association of India (RMAI) got together brands and agencies under one roof to exchange ideas to build the future of rural marketing.

Rural Conclave 2016 organized by Rural Marketing Association of India (RMAI) at Taj Vivanta, Gurgaon saw a heady mix of rural marketing projects, discussions and experiential marketing programs presented by some of the ace FMCG conglomerates, agencies and MNCs. Some of the key sessions were presented by Sankalp Potbhare, Head – Business Strategy and Sales Development at Reckitt Benckiser India, Raghu Roy, MD, MaRS Monitoring and Research Systems, officials from Pidilite Industries, Badri Beriwal, General Manager – Rural Business, GSK and many more important names in the marketing fraternity.


Presenting Project Vriddhi, a path-breaking case  study on distribution, Potbhare said, “Only profitable distribution network is sustainable and can turn the tide.” In his presentation, Roy explained on how to decode the consumer behaviour when it comes to small towns and rural India. Presenting Horlicks’s Swasthya Abhiyaan, Beriwal said, “Combining business objectives with community development makes more business sense. However, sustainable GTM and building brands are two challenges in rural market.”
