The brand plans to expand their retail footprint in Kolkata by opening two more showrooms in southern part of the city.

Simaaya, a fashionable and luxury conscious brand from Kolkata and the brain-child of Rachit and Mayank Agarwal which offers a wide range of Indian ethnic wear, has recently expanded their retail footprint in the city with the launch of their second boutique in Kankurgachi. Measuring 2,500 sq ft and spread across two levels, the store is strategically located at CIT Road in Kankurgachi, which is an evolving high-street of the zone.

Speaking on the launch, Rachit and Mayank Agarwal said, "With the success of our first boutique in Elgin road, we were inspired and motivated to continue our hard work to expand our reach among the people on a wider scale. As a team we constantly attempt to improve ourselves and never be complacent.”

Conceptualised by both the brothers, the store decor reflects the core signature of the brand Simaaya.  Rachit further adds, "The interior has the same look and feel of the Elgin Road store, which has a strong balance of prêt and couture developed over a period of time with great merchandising, lean retailing and unique assortment of established and emerging designers. As for visual merchandising of the collection, we have a colour code for each day, like Monday is Blue, Tuesday is Red, Wednesday is Green, Thursday is Yellow, Friday is Pink, Saturday is Black and Sunday comprises of all the hues.”

On the catchment area of the new outlet Rachit further shares, "This store will particularly cater to our customers residing in the areas like Bangur, Salt Lake, Ultadanga and such adjoining regions as it is not a very viable option for our buyers to always travel down to the southern part of the city for shopping because it consumes a lot of time. We are also looking at further expansions in Kolkata soon and want to open store in the areas like Rashbehari Avenue or Gariahat and New Market which are highly visible junctions when it comes to retailing.  We are also launching our own online portal by December 2014.”
