Skechers launches new sneakers range in India

The Skechers D’Lites sneakers are said to revive the 90s trend of chunky sneaker design.
American performance and lifestyle footwear brand Skechers has announced a new range of sneakers “Skechers D’Lites” in India. The launch of the D’Lites range showcases a wide range of chunky, colourful sneaker options with the brand logo in the midsole which, according to the company, is unseen before and adds a signature element to the shoes. Skechers D’Lites will reiterate the 90s trend of chunky sneaker design.
Speaking about the D’lites launch, Rahul Vira, CEO, Skechers, South Asia Pvt Ltd. said, “With the launch of Skechers D’lites, we are making sure that the 90’s trends move back into style. The shoe range includes designs from the late 90s era style, inspired by a new wave of colourful, chunky, footwear options. With the entry of this segment in the Indian market, Skechers D’lites has rightfully made a place for itself in conversations about chunky sneakers. Skechers has always been synonymous with style and comfort wear and this range has now taken style several notches higher.”
The announcement was made in the presence of Bollywood celebrity and fashionista Jacqueline Fernandez.
The brand so far has 152 stores across the country and is on an expansion mode in the eastern zone of the country with its in-store marketing campaign
An exclusive online store will be added in Skechers's retail networks that comprises EBOs, MBOs and e-commerce currently.
The performance brand's 90th store in India is spread across 1500 sq ft, at Ambience Mall Gurgaon and takes on a warehouse themed store design.
