Sonar Sansar witnesses largest conglomeration of jewellery retailers of Eastern India

With the aim to showcase and retail the finest of jewellery, the fair witnessed a plethora of famous jewellery houses over the four day B2C Expo.

Sonar Sansar, the largest consumer jewellery show of Eastern India was recently held between 16thFebruary to 19thFebruary 2018 at Netaji Indoor Stadium, Kolkata. With the aim to showcase and retail finest of jewellery, the fair witnessed a plethora of famous jewellery houses over the four day B2C Expo. The popular names were Senco Gold, B C Sen, Tanishq, TBZ, Malabar Gold & Diamonds, Binod Behari Dutta, Indian Gem & Jewellery Creation, Bengal Jewellers, Madanji Meghraj, Manikchand Jewellers, Guinea Emporium, Jagadambi Pearls, Pearl Gem & Jewellery, Sun Gold, Goenka Jewellers, Girsh Jewellers, Guinea Emporium, Nemi Chand Bamalwa, Mia by Tanishq, Banethi, Sona Khazana, Chandrani Pearls, Gia and IGI.

Sonar Sansar was organised by KNC Services to showcase various products related to Gems & Jewellery industry. Prakash Chandra Pincha, Regional Chairman, Gem & Jewellery Export Promotion, India while talking to retail4growth said, “This fair helps customers to choose and select from a number of designs and jewellers all coming under one roof. Mostly all the top jewellery retailers participate in this fair. As the economy grows this sector will see more growth, also we are taking lot of mesaures to support this trade and the karigars or craftsman of this trade. 

Anirban Banerjee, Regional Business Manager, Tanishq East (One), shares with retail4growth, “This platform helps us to connect with new customers in these four days. We also get a good opportunity to see what other trade partners are doing and we get to meet them in a common area. In this year, we have showcased lot of regional collections which are more relatable to the Bengal customers. In terms of our retaile presence as Tanishq has well covered the Kolkata region now we are looking at expanding in the suburbs and thus this kind of shows also helps us to know the tastes and preferences of new ccustomers even coming from the B towns of the state. 

Speaking on the retail trade fair, Kranti Nagvekar, Director of KNC Services said, “We are extremely happy for the love and support that we received from everyone. I thank all the jewellery houses for their participation and tireless support.” The four day B2C expo was set strategically just at the commencement of the wedding season.
