By Retail4Growth Bureau | January 13, 2026

After joining Titan in 1991, Ajoy Chawla has spent over three decades shaping key businesses and now leads the company as Managing Director.

Ajoy Chawla has stepped into the role of Managing Director at Titan Company Limited, marking a key leadership transition for the company. The change comes at an important phase of Titan, as it sharpens its focus on long-term growth, category leadership, and global expansion. Effective 1 January 2026, he succeeded C.K. Venkataraman, who retired on 31 December 2025.

A Titan veteran, Ajoy’s journey with the company spans over three decades. He joined Titan in 1991 and has since played a defining role in shaping several of its core and emerging businesses. Over the years, he has held multiple leadership positions across sales, retailing, brand management, strategy, and business incubation.

Most recently, he served as Senior Vice President – Business Incubation & Strategy, where he led the exploration and scaling of new growth engines. His work included incubating Taneira, Titan’s Indian ethnic wear brand, and scaling the fragrances portfolio with brands such as Skinn and Fastrack. He also served as Chief Strategy Officer, driving corporate strategy, partnerships, inorganic growth opportunities, and long-term capability building, while being a member of the Board’s Risk Committee.

As Managing Director, Ajoy leads a well-established structure that reflects Titan’s way of working. Titan operates over 3,000 retail outlets across India, including jewellery stores, watch boutiques, eyewear outlets, CaratLane stores, and Taneira experience centres. The brand reportedly continues to aim for international expansion, especially in the GCC and key diaspora markets, supported by the steady addition of physical retail stores.
