On the launch Rajiv Arora said to VM&RD, "We have been very passionate about creating diverse collections. To have an extension of the store with a gold boutique is testimony to the growing demand for our creations. Kolkata is an important market for us in the East, hence we expect the extension of the store to be accepted well by the audience here. Also we have great bonding with the West Bengal craftsmen as we have 70% of our karigars coming from here, and we have observed that Kolkata being the cultural capital of the country  they understand our culture very well which is truly inspired by history and our collection speaks of that. The collection which will appeal to the college girls, to working professionals, to the wedding requirements etc and the range is also varied starting from few thousands and goes upto lakhs.”

The new collection by Amrapali boasts of some exotic and avant-garde designs which embodies a unique, bold and eclectic style.

Commenting on the launch, Lisa Ray said, "Being from the fashion industry and having a penchant for jewellery, it was a treat to see intricate designs as a part of wearable jewellery. From the exquisite detailing of the jewellery designs, you can tell that the brand has attempted and successfully created a unique blend of ethnic yet contemporary style.”

On the occasion Kamna Saraf, Eastern India Partner, said, "We are extremely proud to be in association with Amrapali jewels for almost half a decade and now have the opportunity to extend it further by introducing the wide range of gold collection. The Amrapali store has received phenomenal response and we believe the addition of gold boutique will add more vibrancy and excitement in our journey with the brand. We are very much optimistic about the growth of this category, as buying jewellery today does not only mean investment but it is a product which adds to the beauty quotient of every woman. We have plans to further expand in cities like Jamshedpur in East zone."

Further on the retail expansion of the brand Arora and Ajmera shares, "Soon we are coming up with our stores in Ahmedabad and Chennai. We are also present abroad in London, New York and Colombo. The domestic jewellery market is growing at a very fast pace and we are doing well here in the Indian market where 70 per cent of our profit comes from and rest 30 per cent is from export. We are expanding our footprints through franchisee model and expect that this partnership in Eastern India will go further and probably new showrooms may come up in cities like Jamshedpur and Siliguri looking at the ROI.” Ajmera added, "We have a great client base here in Kolkata and people from here used to go to Jaipur for jewellery shopping as well. Now that we have extended here with gold collection I believe that Amrapali will be able to cater this zone in a much better way.”
