Cheetah Mobile introduces Fanbot to recognize and approach potential consumers

The Fanbot uses biometric technology instead of facial recognition, to recognise relevant consumers by detecting their age, gender and emotions with a radius of 5 meters.

A China-based provider of AI-driven robotic solution; Cheetah Mobile has introduced a Fanbot which is a mobile, self-service robot. The Fanbot can unconventionally identify and reach out to potential consumers in heavy-traffic situations like in retail stores and shopping malls.

Through its proprietary multi-sensor fusion environment perception system, the solution uses biometric technology instead of facial recognition, to recognise relevant consumers by detecting their age, gender and emotions with a radius of 5 meters. After that, the Fanbot approaches consumers to show the products, and indulge into cashless transactions, as per the company.

The company also mentioned that along with FANOS 3.0, the Fanbot offers an interactive consumer experience and inclusive sales management platform hat also consists of surveys, performance reports engagement data and consumer feedback so that the merchants can optimize their strategy of sales. It is a space-optimizing, high-volume design that can include up to 66 items across all categories If its running low on battery, the Fanbot can sense it and ca automatically return to the charging dock.

The brand believes that the universal launch of this Fanbot can promote contactless demands and drive sales for business, worldwide.
