Chili's: Kolkata's new fine-dine flavour

The'happy','vibrant' and'peppy' decor essentially suits the environment of the Quest Mall.
The restaurant decor is planned according to the brand's design philosophy which has come from Dallas and it has been executed by the local architect and contractors who completed the work in five months. This new design concept for all the outlets of Chili's was launched in 2013 and outside US it is the only junction at this point which has got the same look. The glass front facade with brick and stone effect on the wall and the'happy','vibrant' and'peppy' decor essentially suits the environment of the mall which will entice everyone to enter the restaurant.
"Chilis' is a Tex-Mex casual dining restaurant and as Kolkata does not have so far any such outlet offering this particular cuisine we are the first to launch this Dallas based food chain in East India. The brilliant blend of American-Mexican food in the menu is the speciality of Chili's and I feel that Kolkata is really going to enjoy the delicious platters. The restaurant is laid over two zones which includes a bar area having 45 covers and the family section having 100 covers which is our main highlight of the outlet. In terms of the ambience and design concept, all the Chili's outlet follow the same pattern throughout the world. All the furniture, cutlery, fixtures, lighting accessories everything has been imported from US. Rudraksh Charan from 42mm has been appointed for the architectural work and he has the contract to do all the Chili's outlet for East and North India from us as we have the Master Franchisee for both the zone,â€ shares Rishi Bajoria, Director - Mukund Hospitality Pvt. Ltd, the franchisee of Chili's.
He further adds talking about the new venture, "This is the ninth restaurant of the brand in India and in this category they have the largest presence world-wide with more than 350 dining outlets in about thirty-two countries. For this kind of a brand to do well, we wanted to launch Chili's in a high-end mall and Quest being located in the heart of the city was the first and obvious choice for us. So far we have got very good response from the crowd though the mall is hardly 40% operational and it will take at least three months time more to get the real footfall.â€
"We also have further plans to open two more outlets in Kolkata may be in City Centre Salt Lake and South City very soon. Further in East we want to expand with this brand in the cities like Siliguri, Jamshedpur and Guwahati. In North zone we already have three franchisee outlet of Chili's in New Delhi, Gurgaon and Chandigarh and the fourth one is getting launched next month again in the capital and we are targeting one more as well there by the end of this year. We are also looking for right space at other cities like Jaipur and Noida. Thus in total our plan is to set up at least 10-12 casual dining outlet of Chili's by 2015 in these two zones,â€ signs off Rishi Bajoria.
