Range Rover, the British luxury brand from JLR, takes customer experience a notch above with its Range Rover House, offering its clientele a carefully curated, invitation-only, nautical experience. Since 2022, over 40 Range Rover Houses have run across over 20 countries. The Range Rover House has now opened its doors for the first time in India, at Alibaug near Mumbai.

India is the first country outside the UK to manufacture the iconic Range Rover and Range Rover Sport, specially built for a local clientele. The locally manufactured Range Rover and Range Rover Sport will make their debut at the new Range Rover House in Alibaug, which brings alive the brand’s DNA and design leadership.  

Speaking about it, Professor Gerry McGovern OBE, Chief Creative Officer, JLR, who is the brain behind the design of the Range Rover House, said, “Creativity is best expressed in an enriching, immersive space. Range Rover House is a literal embodiment of Range Rover - an opportunity for our clients to explore our modern luxury vision, transcending the traditional exchange within a showroom. Our ambition is to ignite our clients' passions, building emotional connections via unique, intimate and memorable experiences. We are taking Range Rover House to India for the first time, where clients will be able to immerse themselves in our story in a space which combines breathtaking modernity and refinement with local flair." 

According to the company, the overall experience at the Range Rover House is aimed at enabling clients to embark on a bespoke journey, wherein each touchpoint – from their journey to the venue on a private luxury yacht to their experiences at Range Rover House itself – will immerse them in the essence of modern luxury while indulging their five senses. 

Towards the above, the Range Rover House has many special features. 

Bespoke Studio 

Clients get a first-hand experience at the Bespoke Studio that showcases Range Rover’s focus on reductive design and tailored finishes. They can also personalise and commission their next Range Rover alongside specialists from Special Vehicle Operations here. 

Design Studio  

Range Rover’s expert design team will offer clients insights into the intricate process of curating luxury vehicles at a Masterclass here, giving an overview of the overall aesthetic considerations that go into creating a Range Rover and also offer them an opportunity to sketch their own Range Rover. 

Luxe Atelier 

At the Luxe Atelier, clients are treated to an exclusive experience curated by SS Homme, a contemporary bespoke design house. Clients will get an insider's perspective on the current trends of reductive luxury fashion and simplicity, from fashion designers of some of India’s most elite, while also receiving personalised consultations on their own fashion requirements. 

The Fragrance Lab 

This is a space for clients to indulge in the art of perfume making under the guidance of a master perfumer. It will offer an opportunity to experience the beauty of carefully curated scents extracted from ingredients sourced from their places of origin. 

And that’s not all. A Wellness Sanctuary, featuring sound and crystal healing sessions, the Tasting Vault, offering an artisanal experience in fine spirits, and the leading restaurant Masque with its first-of-its-kind tasting menu, complete the whole experience. 

Essentially, the Range Rover House seeks to embody the brand’s design philosophy, while reflecting local and culture.
