DDX Asia Business Awards 2025 launched to benchmark excellence in digital display technologies

Entries to the Awards contest, which celebrates excellence in digital display technologies in retail and OOH advertising spaces, are to be submitted online on the DDX Asia website before 25th January, 2025.

Digital display and experiential technologies are fast becoming an integral part of the consumer touchpoints in retail and exhibition spaces. The adoption of dynamic displays and related technologies in these space has many components to it – right from the right choice of hardware/display units that blend well with the space aesthetics and ambience, to interactive possibilities in the digital display, use of immersive technologies, strategic content, the right software solutions that power the whole system, capability for data analytics and much more.

With the idea of benchmarking standards across all these relevant segments of the digital display eco-system, DDX Asia Business Awards, has been launched by Thoughtshows & Events Pvt Ltd (earlier VJ Media Works), as part of the DDX Asia Business Conference and DDX Asia Expo, to be held at on February 20 & 21, 2025 at Nesco Exhibition Centre, Goregaon, Mumbai.

Open to Indian and international players in the digital display eco-system in the retail and out of home (OOH) advertising spaces, the DDX Asia Business Awards contest will have a Jury comprising Indian and international industry leaders, representing different parts of these segments.

Entries to the contest are to be submitted online on the DDX Asia website before 25th January, 2025.

Having pioneered other industry awards such as the popular Out of Home Advertising Awards (OAA) and the VMRD Awards (now owned by Messe Dusseldorf), Thoughtshows & Events has launched the DDX Asia Business Awards to define standards of excellence and the business relevance of digital display technologies. Speaking about the newly launched awards, Vasant Jante, Founder & CEO, Thoughtshows & Events, says, “The DDX Asia Business Awards contest essentially aims to define and, over a period of time, raise the bar when it comes to how digital display technologies can elevate consumer experience and meet the business objectives of brands and retailers. By doing this we hope to encourage stakeholders in this space – the buyers and sellers of digital display solutions – constantly explore and drive innovative and business-enabling applications of these technologies.”

The DDX Asia Business Awards contest comprises 10 categories in total, representing different use cases of digital displays in the retail and OOH advertising spaces. The categories in fact cover a wide spectrum of aspects - from design and aesthetics of the digital display system, the use of digital elements in VM and how well the system enables interactivity and transactions in the offline retail spaces, to the use of programmatic digital out of home advertising (pDOOH), ad campaign management and other aspects of relevance in the DOOH space.

Winners of the DDX Asia Business Awards contest will be announced on February 20, 2025, on Day 1 of the DDX Asia Business Conference.
