Foodstories’ new experiential narrative in Bengaluru

Foodstories, a new gourmet food experience brand launched in March 2024, has launched its third store at Lavelle Road, Bengaluru, after launching its first platform in New Delhi and second platform in Hyderabad.  

Gourmet food as a retail category is among those with a strategic approach to their store presence and a distinct focus on creating new spatial stories and distinct experiences.

Foodstories also offers same-day home delivery through their own website and a quick-response WhatsApp channel.

“Foodstories was born out of Ashni’s and my passion for food, as well as our obsession with delivering high-quality experiences and products to India’s most discerning food connoisseurs. After launching our first store in Delhi in March 2024, we’re excited to bring Foodstories to Bengaluru; a city that’s surely shaping the way we look at food and experiences around food,” says Avni Biyani.

The Garden Cafe

The 12,000-sq ft. retail format houses a 70-seater all-day dining café conceptualised and designed by renown interior designer, Vinita Chaitanya with a diverse food offering spanning breakfast specials to small plates, salads to large plates and an innovative sweet and savoury bakes section curated by French-origin Chef Gregory Bazire. Vinita has also engaged with many Bangalore-based artists and artisans Vinita to build a space that takes cues from old Bangalore’s delectable architecture and aesthetics.

The Garden Café is reminiscent of the home that the space once was, preserving the erstwhile owners’ precious Gulmohar tree. The pavilion that binds the Garden Café is unreservedly inspired by the iconic Cubbon Park nearby. The terrazzo flooring, bamboo and wood chairs, and delicate chandeliers, that make the café come alive, are all designed by Bangalorean artisans with the essence of Foodstories in mind.

Other highlights include the Foodstories Juicery, the The Foodstories Farm, which provides a wide assortment of farm fresh produce fairly sourced from local growers and global suppliers and carefully picked by their Farmer in Residence - a first of its kind for a food retail store - bringing with him a high focus on transparency and traceability., the Bakery, The Cheese Cellar, Meat Market, etc.

Foodstories has also curated a dedicated “Better for You” zone that showcases a wide range of ancient grains, low GI staples, keto friendly ingredients and Gluten-free essentials.

Further, the Kitchen Studio at the heart of Foodstories is a multidisciplinary space designed for the modern day content creator. Equipped with state of the art kitchen equipment, the space allows content creators to bring their food stories to life with the finest ingredients from around the world. The Kitchen Studio is also a destination for food enthusiasts to deepen their relationship with food via guided tastings and engaging cooking demos led by Foodstories’ chefs, informs the company.
