Kurl-on targets 2000 exclusive stores in less than 2 years

With 1000 exclusive stores operating via franchisee model, Kurl-on targets to add 1000 more in their store network in next 18 months. The brand operates through a total number of 5 retail formats depending upon the market consumption and store sizes.

Leading Indian mattress manufacturing and retailing brand has recently announced adding of 1000 more exclusive stores to their network which is already 1000 stores-strong. Stepping fast towards the home improvement segment, Kurl-on, which operates through a total number of 5 retail formats, is also consolidating their factory presence across the nation.

Talking exclusively to Retail4Growth, T Sudhakar Pai, Managing Director, Kurl-on, shared, “Our retail strength lies in 1000 exclusive stores across 5 store formats and a network of almost 10000 dealership network. We are targeting for a Y-O-Y growth of 20%-30%, which will largely be backed by our retail expansion. Right now, 5% of our exclusive stores are company-owned and we plan to take it to 20%, which means that the majority of store expansion will happen via franchisee rollout.”

Kurl-on, holding a market share of 50% in the branded category in the country, operates via retail formats like Kurl-on Home, Sofa World, Mattress International, Home Komforts and Budget Mattress. With 9 factories all across India, Kurl-on will soon start their factory operations in places like Bangalore, Bhubaneswar and Assam.
