Marks & Spencer launches first standalone outlet in South India

The brand plans to launch five more stores in the coming days out of which two will be inducted in the South zone.

After tasting a double digit growth in India last year, UK-based Marks & Spencer is planning to augment its reach in the market. The brand unveiled its first standalone store in South India at Koramangala in Bangalore.

This new-fangled outlet is the fifth store by the brand which is created under Marks & Spencer's ongoing strategy to expand its retail presence in the country. On the eve of the launch of the Bangalore store, Venu Nair, Managing Director, Marks & Spencer Reliance India said, "Bangalore provides us with an exciting platform to grow our presence in India. We have a fantastic high street location for our new flagship store, which showcases an extensive range of our high quality, great value and innovative product.”  Spread across 23,000 sq ft, the store sports two floors and designed according to the brand's international concept. This store houses Marks & Spencers' exclusive line of array ranging from womenswear, menswear to kidswear along with chic accessories, lingerie and a selection of beauty products.
