Metro Brands expands Foot Locker’s presence with new Mumbai store

Metro Brand’s latest Foot Locker store at Platinum Avenue, Khar West, aims to deliver an Immersive sneaker culture experience for Mumbai’s fashion-forward community, says the company.

Global sneaker brand Foot Locker is expanding its footprint in India. After the launch of its first store in Delhi—with Metro Brands Ltd operating the physical stores and Nykaa Fashion exclusively managing the e-commerce business—Metro Brands is now bringing Foot Locker’s vibrant, community-driven experience to Mumbai.  

“The Foot Locker Mumbai store will showcase the brand’s distinctive Reimagined retail concept - a dynamic layout designed to inspire sneaker culture through immersive storytelling, community-driven spaces, and interactive product zones,” shares the company. 

It adds that Foot Locker Stripers, a diverse team of category experts, will be on hand at the store to offer personalized shopping advice, lead in-store events, and help foster a strong sense of community among sneaker enthusiasts. 

Spanning two levels, the store is meticulously designed to provide an immersive retail experience, according to the company. The ground floor highlights Men’s Footwear and Apparel, complemented by signature Foot Locker features such as Shoe Protection Treatment, Foot Scanner, and the Kick It Club, covering a space of 2,279.53 sq. ft. The first floor is dedicated to Women’s Footwear and Apparel, the Sneaker Hub, Kids’ collections, and Accessories, with a display area of 2,790.37 sq. ft. 

In parallel with the launch of the Foot Locker physical store, Nykaa Fashion will extend the brand presence on the digital ecosystem, aiming to offer an engaging and innovative online journey that mirrors the energy of the in-store experience. “Backed by Nykaa Fashion’s advanced digital capabilities, the initiative aims to deliver a seamless, convenient, and highly personalized shopping experience, setting a new benchmark for e-commerce in India’s sneaker and streetwear market,” shares the company.
