South City Mall appoints Amit Kumar as Executive Director

South City Mall, one of Kolkata’s most prominent retail destinations, has announced the appointment of Amit Kumar as Executive Director to oversee Leasing, Marketing and Operations for the mall.

A seasoned retail professional, Amit brings with him over two decades of experience in mall management, retail leasing, and commercial real estate, informs the company. “Amit’s career spans leadership roles at some of the country’s leading real estate and retail companies, where he has successfully driven growth, tenant mix enhancement, and operational excellence across large-format retail assets,” says the company statement.

Commenting on his appointment, Amit Kumar said, "South City Mall has always been synonymous to retail and lifestyle experiences in Kolkata. The appointment comes following Blackstone India’s recent acquisition of South City Mall. “Amit's deep understanding of the retail ecosystem, combined with his proven track record in building high-performing assets, will play a crucial role in strengthening South City Mall’s position as the region’s most preferred shopping and lifestyle destination,” the company adds.
